Hi I hope I’m posting in the correct place. I have a 1996 ford ranger. I really don’t know anything about obd or scanners or if there is a difference but I’d like to learn. Primarily I’d
Ike to be able to get fuel trim info and read error codes. I tried renting one from auto zone a while back but it wasn’t compatible or I’m inept.
Thanks again

I use one of the cheap blue OBD II deals on my stuff, it does all of that, like THIS GUY, get that and download the Torque Lite app for your phone and you're good to go...

From your other post I would suspect fuel trims and stuff, if you haven't cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner spray or changed the pre cat O2 sensor in a long time those would be good places to start

Awesome thanks again. You’ve helped me a couple times

i use a blue obd bluetooth unit too. i use veepeak brand.

i use torqlite and the free forscan app. i like the forscan since its for fords and mazdas, and we just happen to have both
