Recall #05s28 Cruise Control

I never got a recall notice and didn't even know there was one. About a month ago, I had mine in the shop replacing the heads and they replaced the recalled part while it was in there. I didn't even know till I looked at the work order when I picked it up.

I have a 2001 and got no recall notice. My Cruise stopped working about 7 months ago & when I kept trying to get it to work the unit on the steering wheel started getting warm so I just stopped using it.

My truck was built on 7/31/02 about 10 days before the end of the recall (it went about 10 days into the '03 year model). I get a notice this week that after careful investigation, my truck is NOT affected by the recall. Wonder if I should fuse the bastard anyway? The truck and house are both insured, but if the truck burned my house down I would be SO pissed...

It's been another month, and still no call from my ford dealership. How many more months will go by before my truck gets its recall work done ! ! Well just checked my plug again, like " racinranger" said, and it's still dry. Hopefully that means it's not going to burn. So I say to all you TRS people check your plug...............

Still not fixed........... Now its May and haven't heard from my Ford dealership that they have got the part in to fix this recall. What the hell is Ford motor company's problem? Why dose it take so long to get or make a simple electrical jumper wire?

Yeah, I had mine fixed last summer... My dad's f150 needs the part, and it also will not be available till june... It is pretty stupid, it is just a small wiring harness that plugs into the master cylinder, it takes all of 2 minutes to install.
