Rebuilt motor running rich

I’m gonna order up new ones and make sure they’re right, i painted over the old ones so i can’t use them to test. Thank you guys! I’ll let you know what happens as soon as we install them in a couple days. New O2 sensor is in, and gonna try a new TPS as well since it’s old, might as well make sure that doesn’t fail.

Just got done with the first drive since Christmas, injectors were definitely the problem! Thank you guys! Thinking about posting pics and the overall history of this beaut!

Thanks for letting us know, and glad you got it running good.

I am dealing with a rebuilt 2.9 B2 as well. with a rich condition. I am wondering if the new injectors I put in are the problem as well!
What injectors did you end up using with success?

thx- Andrew

I went with the Napa recommended injectors. Part No. CRB 2-18066 ans she fired right up and ran perfectly, was a little off on timing but ran perfectly.

Great news!
The new set of injectors and a timing twist has got her running well!
I got to take my first drive in her after a long engine rebuild. Very Happy at how she handles!

Glad to hear it! Now for the fun break in process lol! That’s a good looking ‘90. Glad i could help you out in your diagnosis, seems like a few of the parts for these get a little mixed up, just gotta be careful what you find, i’ve found having an OE part number really goes a long way!
