1987 Ranger 4x4 5 spd manual 2.9 .Rear spring sag lower on drivers side, should I use an add a leaf or helper springs or air shocks need cheap cure. Also need a masters engine rebuild kit any tips, advice on brand, Advance has the best price locally but found some cheaper online. Need to here from yall .Thanks

My advice on the springs is to locate a good set in a donor truck, take the time to put in new spring "eye" bushings.

On the rebuild, I use only Motorcraft or Napa for sourcing such things. typical Advance/Autozone type places have lower quality parts (unless you are ordering name brand stuff then it costs extra).

Just my $0.02

yeah never trust autozone for important engine parts. 9 times out of 10 it seems like i get the wrong parts for simple shit like brake pads or shocks, i can only imagine how bad it would be for enigne bearings and gaskets.

for leaf springs search craigslist for someone parting out a 4 door explorer, take out the overload leaf and flip the center bolt and you have a nice replacement set that won't sag near as bad...
