Ok so im about to do a small block swap on my 01 Range, however im concerned about a few things, one of my main concerns is the rearend.
Im wondering if anybody knows what kind of power/torque the stock rearend in an 01, 2.5L ranger can handle. By my best guesses, and with 400 or better RWHP in mind, my guess is the stock rearend aint gna cut it.
So one of my friends said to me hey just throw in an 8.8 rear from an F-150. Well this brings up problems such as the F-150 rearend is wider and the hubs and studs are going to cause wheel fitment problems. So my thought out solution was hey... why not a mustang rearend, this will keep the hubs and studs the same, but the mustang rearends are not setup for leaf springs.
Does anybody know of anyone who has put a mustang rearend in their truck or possibly have an idea for me for a solution to my rearend problems???? Thanksss
