rearend sensor

ok i have a 94 mazda b 3000

buoght guess bout year ago front rear was mess up when i got it
but i think the guy blew the rear out and put nother one in 7.5
is that the stock one or was 8.8 the stock i think he tore the front out cause
the gears in the replacement did not match the existing stock ttb whitch i did not like so i cut i out and replaced with solid axle but any ways
to my rel question ther is i sensor on my rear two prong plug in sensor
i was told it was a speed sensor i had unpluged it seedo still works plus i know from putting new clutch in my tranny has mechanical speedo what does this sensor do i drove it for week with unpluged did not noticed anything
and i am putting a dana 44 in the rear so i can not plug it in any wher
what is it and what does it do

That is for the RABS (rear antilock brakes)
