I have a project going on now where the entire interior of the cab - except the dashboard - is sitting in the bed of the truck. I'll be replacing the carpet (too moldy, musty and nasty to just clean), installing sound insulation throughout (including the roof!), replacing the sound system (including wiring I think) and whatever else I come across.
This all started because the rear window leaks. First things first while I'm waiting for all the parts to show up is I need to get the rear window re-installed. How do I remove the old gasket material from around the window and window frame? It's a foam gasket with a wicked sticky residue. I've thoroughly cleaned a 12" section and it took a lot of elbow grease and paint thinner. There has to be a better way!
