rear window defroster

The rear window defroster in my BII has one of the two electrical "connectors" ripped off of the glass. Is it possible to repair this so I can defrost the window, or am I looking at replacing the window itself?

I think the defroster strips are metal, which is why I am hoping some kind of soldering could fix it.
