Rear wheel bearing? Brakes done

lower picture; adjuster is backwards so the pawl is not riding on the cog wheel doohickey.
That was the before job done. Like I stated above the person who had it before did the job wrong; good by I didn't follow what they did [emoji16]

And I've got a problem Ugh so frustrating.

Both sides have an issue I would think. The drums are very hot.

What is happening now, any one?

seems to me they will be warm to hot until they " run in" y'all just want to make sure they are working properly with the wheels off the ground if you don't have limited slip I think only one wheel needs to be off the ground at a time

OMG thanks again Denise; been a really long time since I've done these!
Should I maybe back off on the adjuster a wee bit?

You didn't say what the issue is. Are the rears locking up? Still getting hot? Making noise ? With the wheel off the car the drum should spin freely with no rub sound from the drum. Backing off on the adjuster may help because it is easy to want to over tighten the rears, but remember most braking is done with the fronts . Adjust the breaks with the wheel off, then put the wheel on and give it a spin. It should make a few revolutions with little to no noise from the drum.

Luckily not kicking up that I know off, I heard some little grinding at very low speed, below 5mph maybe.
I think maybe I need to back off the adjusters a little bit, maybe to tight. Thanks, will check soon.
