ok. i know ive posted on here before about being ready to buy a lift. well you all know money comes and goes. while i still dont have money for a lift. i would like to get at least the rear on the right track

as of right now my leafs are almost entirely on the overloads. while this makes my truck a drift king its obviously not the best scenario. my question is, which would be my best option to lift to about or slightly above stock/factory height without making the ride overly stiff (even though it probably cant be much worse than it is now)

1. get leaves from a JY off a newer ranger that havent sagged yet

2. add a leaf

3. add a leaf but take one of the old crappy leaves out

when i go to lift the truck ill add belltech shackles for an additional 2"

oh yeah. there's always that option. i eventually want to get an explorer 8.8 anyway

To gain flex, I'd run multiple thin leaves (I.E. 0.237 or 0.262 thick) and remove the stock thicker leaves. You will need to run almost double the leaves you have now to get the desired ride height. Bastard packs work amazingly well with some tweaking. I'd grab some leaves out of a Jeep YJ front springs.

how much lift would the yj springs give me. i know where i could get a set cheap

Dont use the YJ springs. Use the leaves in them. You have to play with it a little bit to get the desired ride height.

This has nothing to do with what leaf springs work the best, go away
To be honest neither did what you had to say. Seems like every time you post something is only negative.
But anyways back on topic I'm running new factory leafs with the main leaf (with the eyes cut off) and one of the smaller leafs in my truck with the factory block and chevy drop shackles that leveled my truck out with the front 6 inch lift.
The most cost effective is probably just to get some shackles got mine at advance for 40 bucks. They are identical to the beltech ones. But this is just going to give you the height your are looking for won't really help with the saggy leafs.

F150 springs are also an option seems like they work best if you run the range shckles upsidedown and even with the shackle flip you still have 3-4 inches of lift. in this case you would have to keep the factory block.
