I just got an 86 ranger 4x4 with a 4.5" lifts. The front works great and looks to be all fairly new skyjacker components. The rear is a different stort. The leaf spring look original and with it is 2 add a leafs, and 2 2" inch blocks stacked on each side. needless to say the rear rides poorly and looks completely unsafe. I want to keep the height to clear my new 32" tires. But I want a safe goodriding alternative to what i have now. Thanks

Buy a 5.5" block kits and get rid of the old blocks and AAL.
Or for around $500, buy some new leaf springs from skyjacker.

you could get a set of leaves from an explorer and a belltech shackle. you may need a 2" block yet, or weave one of your stock leaves into the pack to get a little more lift.
