Rear Sliding Glass

hey guys im new here...i bought this truck 2 weeks ago and have done all the regular maintenance engine wise. Only problem is that the rear sliding glass is missing hte division bar(s) one for each side and the latch does anyone know what the part number is from ford?

Oh its a 1991 Ford Ranger XLT Single Cab

I just went out and pulled mine off, no part numbers to be found at all. If you're looking to get one, Titus Will lists them for $42 new (https://www.trademotion.com/partloc...41&make=10&model=Ranger&year=1991&catalogid=2, if that doesn't work try https://www.tituswillfordparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html), but I'd just scour a boneyard for one.

There is one right now on Ebay buy it now for 57.50 plus 27.00 shipping and it's new in the box. Item number: 270405163572. Otherwise check the junkjard.

If you want an inexpensive and fast fix like I did, go to the junk yard and pry a set of channels off a sliding rear window. Glue felt strips to your glass on both sides, then spread black silicone sealant inside the channels and snap them over the felt/edge of glass and let set. There are factory style latches on Ebay for $9.00 if the channels you scrounge don't have them attached already.

I did my repair this way and it still looks and functions great.

are all years sliding glass the same size? how would i know what size latch to get? i have a 4 piece slider (the same as OP i believe), but obviously different years


is the safest theft deterrant solid glass?


i know if somebody wants to get in bad enough they will.... but i mean the latch style windows just pop apart with a screwdriver don't they?
