I have a 09 Ranger XLT 4.0 with a 3" spindle lift in the front. I want to lift the rear to make the truck level. My question is what should I to lift it?

-Blocks- What size? Do I need to change shocks?
-Add-A-Leaf- Ride Quality? Shocks?
-Shakle- Ride Quality? Shocks ETC?

I am open to options.

Thanks, Josh

I put a 3inch spindle lift on my truck and was told a "add a leaf" would level the rear. It did not. The "add a leaf" did not stiffen the rear suspension for me so I did not notice any roughness in the ride. I didn't like that my rearend was still a little lower than the front so I measured the difference between the front and back and bought a 1 inch blocks for the rear. Now my truck is level. I use a combo of "add a leaf" and a 1 inch block. You can do like I did and use or not use the blocks depending on how your suspension looks after the 'add a leaf'

I use bilstien 5100 shocks that are designed for stock trucks and the bilstiens work fine on the rear with my lift.

measure the difference between the front and rear and buy blocks for the rear that make up the difference. blocks come in many sizes.
you probably will be able to use stock length shocks if you level the rear with the front becuase I did the same thing and the stock length shocks work fine on the rear but the bilstien 5100's are able to handle a 1 inch lift so they might be a little longer than stock.

Id go for an add a leaf + BT6400 Shackle, or go for Explorer leafs and a BT6400. I would stay away from blocks if possible.

For shocks I would definitely go bilstien 5100's, i have had good luck with them on other trucks i have owned.

I put belltech 6400 shackles and a 3 inch block (factory is two inch) along with bilstein 5100 shocks (if I remember right)

i put beltech 6400s on the truck and the stock leafs but after i did my axle swap it brought it up to level so 6400s with about a 1in block.

stock 2" factory blocks from a 4x4 ranger. get em from a junkyard for dirt cheap, or someone on here might be selling a set. i might sell a set yet, havent made up my mind if im gonna use em lol

Ive got coils in the front and did add a leafs in the rear, which is still 1/2" shorter then the front, so planning on replacing the stock 2" block for a 3" one in the rear. So if i was you just do the add a leafs and a block if you need it perfect.

I put the add-a-leafs on and I got lots of rear clearance:

Belltech 6400's with stock leafs and I have a 3" spindle lift. The leafs are a little flat so I might add a leaf or get Explorer leafs down the road, but so far it sits pretty level. And as other have said, Bilstien 5100's are working great so far.
