If someone wants to go from a non opening window to one that can open...
1. Can the hatch be changed to work with an opening window?
2. Will the latch handle work for either option or is it "window-type specific"?
I found an early B2 with an opening rear window option. The hatch isn't any better than the one I already have, and the one with the opening window is missing the handle. Was wondering if I can just grab the window and leave the junker where it's sitting since taking the hatch means he'll probably make me buy the whole thing. It's 4 blocks from my house so I probably should anyway. I'm curious if I'll have to look for an early latch regardless.
I still have the 97 Explorer so I could rob parts from it if they'll help. Sure wish the windows were the same size & shape!
