Rear end question.

Just wonder what the bolt pattern is supposed to be on the rear end of these trucks. Is it an 8 bolt or 10 bolt rear end? I thought it was 8 bolt but the one on my truck is a 10 bolt but the tag says 8.8 I think, its kinda hard to read though. I don't know much about gear ratios and stuff so if you could just bear with me:) thanks guys:)
 
Look on your door jamb under the word "axle" there will be a code. Compare that code to the codes on the link above that Bean posted. That will tell you what you have.
 
The 8.8 is a measurement of the main differential gear in inches. Its cover has 10 bolts.
