Hi,

I have a 92 3.0L with A4LD and a 3:45 rear end with 14" (24"dia) tires as standard.

My objective is to improve fuel economy , i've fitted a set of 16" (30.1 dia) explorer wheels , she seems a little to high geared now, i'm off the gas around town but i'm concerned the tranny may be overloaded and could fry which i don't wanna do.

i searched through old posts and i guess it needs to be either 3:73 or 4:10

But which would be my best option
would appreciate your advice

I would go with 4.10 unless you do a lot of towing/hauling, then 4.56.
