So I have ran into an issue involving drum brakes on my 8.8. In my parts look up from 94 and below we list one part number and from 95 and up we list a different part number for the shoes. They do appear different and the spring kits are different as well. The only thing that are the same are the brake drums. So my question is is their a difference in the backing plate? Im not sure what year truck the rear end came out of. I suppose I could tear out the shoes that are in there and match them up. But just figured Id see if anyone here knew the difference.
