On a 2000 Ranger XLT 4 door supercab the two rear doors are stuck shut. The door handle lifts and drops without getting stuck, but only the top part of the door unhooks -- the bottom refuses to budge. Managed to get the inside panel off the passenger rear door and tried to work the latch mechanism free but haven't had any success in getting the door open. Does anyone know of any diagrams that detail the latch mechanism or anything I can try to get this door open?

For those wanting to know or looking to fix a similar situation: the doors finally popped open after a whole lot of prying and pulling. Probably not the most ideal way to do it but the job got done. Now to replace the latch assemblies!

Or at least adjust the bastards. Make sure the new latches are operating correctly BEFORE you close the doors with them in there to avoid a repeat!

As for diagrams, typically you can only find them in the dealer service manuals. Expensive for just basic latch jiggling, but helpful if you're not a master locksmith and need to unfudge a door.
