New member here and first post. Please forgive me if this has been answered before. If so, please direct me. Thanks.

I have a 2003 Ranger FX4 Level II - 31 spline axles

Most information I've found about possible rear drum to rear disc brake conversions has involved aftermarket kits and predate the 2010 and 2011 Rangers that came with rear discs.

My question, would it be possible (more of a bolt on project) to transplant rear disc brake parts from a 2010/11 rear axle to my truck?

I doubt it would work that way. The 10/11 trucks were still a 28 spline axle, yours is 31, so bigger bearings, bigger tubes, bigger bolt pattern.

Explorer brakes are supposed to work.

Thank you for the quick response. Yes, in reading that the 2007 was the last Level II offering with the 31 spline axle shafts, I suspected that the new disc brake parts would not be a bolt on.
