Hi guys,

Bought a 2000 ford ranger 2wd truck from a buddy of mine has a few problems but plan on tackling them myself.

Anyways....yesterday I went to do the rear brakes as they were original to the truck. Dissasembly went fine but upon reassembly I realized there wern't any wheel cylinder link pins. Looked around and didn't see any. Also took a picture and there wern't any before I dissasembled. I found them as a ford oem part but they are almost $20 a piece from ford. Does anyone know of anywhere else to get them a little cheaper. Advanced auto parts said they didn't carry them for the ranger...

Junk yard. They aren't exactly a wear item.

That's what I was thinking. Do you know if they are different between the 9" and 10" brakes? Also are there any other vehicles that share the same ones?

They are different, or at least that is the safe bet.

I don't know of anything else that uses them.

Generally speaking 9" brakes don't have cylinder pins...

The piston acts directly on part of the brake shoe "web".

10" brakes use them....
