91 ranger axle code 86 3:73 non- limited slip removed and replaced with 89 ranger axle code f6 3:73 limited slip.
When in 4 wheel drive on snow it seems to, at so many feet of travel, spin the rear wheels , mostly drivers side.
Front tires and rear tires are matched sizes but not matching tread pattern.
Rear tires are more worn down.
At this time the tags on housings are indicating gearing matching axle code on door panel.
Is it so simple that it is a traction differentiation between front and rear tires?
If not traction and the gearing has been altered is there a way to determine ratio by the gear tooth count? Is there info on this procedure?
