Really Simple Question

I hate starting threads on simple questions, but the article in the tech library, as well as my searches on here didn't give me the answer I needed.

in this article (click), it never says the year of trucks it will work on. In the pics, it shows a beamed ranger, and all of the threads i found searching only talked about 97-older trucks too.

i have an 05, and tomorrow i'm picking up my new kit for the front. it's 4.5" extended per side, and i'm using fabtech spindles with the kit. if i get these brake lines, will they work? i won't be installing the kit for a little while because i don't have the time, so i can still order these lines if they'll work.

thanks guys!

basically, it will work in one form or another on anything.

you need to identify the fittings your are working with and then you will know the exact hose to use

thanks. i have 4 wheel ABS on my truck, so i would need brake lines for a 4 wheel abs f350 to be a direct swap, correct? my suspension/brake set up looks exactly like in this picture for now. the fitting on the frame is what concerns me.

i would not say that for certain....150 lines may work good, or silverado lines for all i know.

i use e 350 lines, as oem big lines are nice as they are easy to buy...i also have a d60 and huge 1 ton brakes....and still had to modify the steel part of the lines to suit my needs.

identifying the particular ones that fit the need is the challenge. so go the the parts store and grab a oem ranger line off the shelf and compare it to others till you get what you want.

well, things worked out pretty easy. my buddy had ordered some brake lines and got sent the wrong ones. instead of returning them, the company let him keep them since it was their mistake and set him the correct lines. luckily for me, the lines he got sent first will fit on my truck.

Good thing everything worked out...and I just read the article and picked up a tip...use bailing wire to map out the line and then form the new line to the bailing wire...cool...

Learn something by poking my head into other people's business...:)
