Realistic expectations at 100 yards with a .22lr?

Eley tenex, CCI and augila will shoot consistently in all 22lr semi autos. Norma subsonic T-22(anything below 1000fps) are excellent. In stead of .10 cents a shot it is .20 cents. My form 1 ruger will make clover leafs at 50 Yds with anyone pulling the trigger. There is such a small power charge it is imperative that the grain weight be consistent.

I have no problem with MOA @ 100 yds in my Savage MKII BSEV using CCI MiniMag. It's an extremely accurate .22LR but does not like cheap ammo. The headless ground squirrels at my place would confirm that; if they could.

I don't shoot .22lr much but picked up a second Marlin model 60 and a cheapo 4x20 scope down here in Georgia and started plinking, I already had a Marlin model 60 but it was old and beat to death so it was retired to hang on the wall and I never actually fired it since I was a kid. Anyway, I can't get this damn thing to shoot under 3" groups at 100 yards from a bench. Am I just expecting too much for a .22? Does this rifle just suck? What is realistic accuracy to be happy with? Using 40 grain CCI mini mag if that matters...
.22-250 or similar varmint cartridge with heavy barrel and 24x scope. You can put 3 shots to fit under a dime at 100 yds. That should be enough accuracy for anyone, unless you insist all the shots must overlap. Load your own ammo.

cant reload rimfire YET

First time today in nearly two years I seen shot shells for sale in my area. Unfortunately the two boxes of 20 gauge #8 were seen being bought by the person that walked in the door in front of me. Two box maximum and they had put out 6 cases at 9am and were gone by 11:30 am.

Word travels fast...

They did have a Stevens double 20 that I got to handle a bit. That is my next gun. I figure new hunting dog... new rabbit and grouse gun. I didn't buy it... because me... my dog and that new gun would surely be sleeping in the Bronco II indefinitely.

Got a ruger red label double 28ga worth more than my ranger, aint shot it.

I always thought a 22-250 would be fun. Not sure why, it is fun to say though.

Not sure it would really be enough different from my current 223 or grendel to justify another gun to feed.

Someone has not experianced @Uncle Gump's Ranger safari basecamp/mobile pizza shop...

Ahhh yes; if I recall, pizza shop on the first floor, expedition command center on the second floor, and penthouse on the third. Private elevator, and a fireman's pole for those urgent "pizza to go" orders.

Just can't wait to see the finished G-Unit!

Ranger base camp is pretty comfortable when set up right and probably makes the best pizza in the county... maybe even the state.

@RobbieD G-Unit is gonna be on a slow roll to the finish... pictures can be deceiving. I texted the previous owner and asked if he applied the bed liner with a struggling wet moose. It's pretty bad... bad enough I'm gonna have to do something about it.

Well that's a bummer. It sure looks good in the pictures, though.

I don't know how hard it is, to sand bedliner, but maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

That Bronco II would be a real stunner, painted in the new Bronco's Cactus Gray color, and the interior done in Black. '83 Rangers had a black interior, which looks real sharp, but the B2 never did (to my knowledge, anyway).

Still trying to get my head around the entire purchase in general honestly. I know for sure it will never see a "paint" job. It's gonna get used. But I'm with you on the gray with black interior.

I'm gathering thoughts and will update the G-Unit thread here soon. I'm not mad at all... but I did let my vision get ahead of the reality. But... there is still a bunch of Bronco II to work with.

"will update the G-Unit thread here soon" Did you start this? Can you point to it please?

Disregard - found it.

Post #3 will get further updated once I've had the weekend to go over the entire truck.
