re thinking my set up

swapped 302 into 83 4x4 ,bent up down pipes ,drivers side crosses over to passengers side.its 6 inches longer then passengers side. should mufflers be placed equal distance from manies? this would stager the mufflers in the chassis and look strange but i dont care about that trying to get the best performance out of a low buck set up running 70s f150 manies right now will be upgrading in spring

iam still trying to figure out how iam going to run mine.
running shorty headers..........the noise is starting to get to me.hopefully itll be going to the muffler shop in a couple of weeks.

the engine isnt going to care about 6" and niether should you. install the mufflers however they fit best.

make sure you have an equalizer for those duals.

how far back from manies should i go for that eq

the EQ pipe should be as close to the manifolds as possible. the mufflers can be placed wherever you want without a noticeable change in performance. generally, the closer the mufflers are to the motor, the more effective (quieter) they are.
