What RBV came with dana 35 410 gears from the factory? I am looking for the whole front pumpkin cause I just put in a 8.8 with 410 gears and I would like to have 4wd back. Thanks guys

ummm rangers explorers. you have to search good luck finding 4.10s i looked for weeks and had to get 3.73s.

4x4 four cylinder rangers came from the factory with 4.10 gears. However, they are not that common, and I think they came with the Dana 28 instead of the 35.

Mine had 4.10's factory...... but for the IFS on my 2004, I still have the 4.10's for front and back, I couldn't sell em!!!

4.10's for the newer IFS are easy to find I have also been looking for a 4.10 center section for a TTB dana 35 and the junkyard but havent found one yet.

For a TRUE D35 (TTB) you're looking at 90-92 4cyl 4x4's.

Hybrids are available in 93-97' 2.3 and some very lucky 3.0's.

A hybrid is a pretty stout axle behind a 2.3 or 3.0. I even think it'd survive behind a moderately driven 4.0.

The main drawback to the older D28 was the crappy and tiny u-joints and outer shafts. The hybrid fixes these problems. :D

No, you need a TTB center. Like said, some '90-'92 4cyl trucks, and a few 2.9L automatics of those years got the 4.10s too.

I wouldn't put the hybrid axle tremendously ahead of the non-hybrid D28... That tiny-assed spline where the shaft goes into the diff is the next weak link, and good luck finding one in a yard if it breaks, they just as rare (if not rarer) than 4.10 D35s.

my 95 splash has 4.10 from the factory. i think my axle code was 87 or something wich has the open 7.5 in it, its 3.0 and 4x4.... best bet is to look up online axle codes for the years listed from the folks above that came with 4.10 factory and then go to the JY and ask them if they have the front pumpkins from the vehicles with those axle codes!

Yeah......that is a possibility, but if I had to choose between a D28 (because of shaft availability) or a hybrid, I'd go with the hybrid. I've actually owned 3 different sets of hybrid shafts in my short time with owning Rangers. They aren't that hard to find. But I really think that if you leave the front open and don't beat the shit out of it and especially behind a 2.3 or 3.0, there wouldn't be anything to worry about.
