Rattling passanger door

not sure if it belongs in this forum category..

So i have a 2004 ford ranger XLT supercab with the rear suicide doors and the passanger side rattles so bad. i closed it and im able to move the door back and forth about 1/4in to 1/2in and the rattling is annoying. anyone have this happen? maybe a solution? im working it down to it being the latch or something.

It might be the bushings in the door hinges are bad and allowing the door to move around while latched.

sounds like you need latches , on of them isnt catching

I know this an old thread ,but I just bought a used 2010 ranger ,with the same problem.
I took the panel off only to find that the sound deaden er that they stick on the
inside of the door,just under the window , half of it came detached ,and would flop against the door when you closed it .

I removed the loose piece and sprayed under coat in and around that area,
No noise and its a lot quieter than before.
