Rattle-can paint questions...

The old F-350 plow truck has problems with the paint popping off and leaving the gray primer exposed. I sanded most of the primer off, trying to feather the rough edges around the good paint.

I used a good self-etching primer and then about 3 coats of acrylic enamel. It turned out okay but is fairly rough.

My question is...can spray paint be wet sanded and how long must I wait for the paint to cure before trying?

don't know why not. just give it a good 2-3 days to dry unless you have a paint booth. then, go for it.

Thanks, stvger. Can't do worse than screwing it up. Need to get some 400 grit paper.

iirc, it's really hard to screw up a plow truck. have fun with it!!

i wetsanded my spray paint. well i rolled mine on but its rustoleum. its fine wet sand it then buff it...i used meguires ultimate compound on a cheap palm buffer
