95 4.0 4x4 rats ate or chewed up almost every wire under my hood. What I'm trying to find out is if their is any way to just remove all the wiring and run just the absolute nessacary wiring for motor and transmission? I had already had plans to do an sheet metal dash so I would be hard wiring in lights and temp gauges. Thanks in advance.

There's not many "unnecessary" wires on a fuel injected engine.... Even wires for the gauges will be tied into the ECU for fuel management.

You're better off just hitting up the junkyard and getting a new harness.

What he said.

I dont know if you bought the truck like this or just live in the country like me but after you get it fixed, if you want to prevent it from happening again fill a small jar with mothballs, poke some holes in it and zip tie in securely somewhere under the hood. I have issues with sparrows and swallows hanging out in my engine. They obviously dont chew on my wiring but they crap all over everything. The moth balls work great for basically anything that breathes.

Was given to me I have $0 into it and cant see not fixing it but yes I do live in the deep south of Alabama and will try the moth balls. Thanks

Truck looks good.

As Dirtman suggested, I would go source a new harness.

If possible, I would be interested in seeing pics of the damage.

Ill be happy to show them as soon as I get back this weekend. I'm an OTR truck driver.
The truck will actually crank with lot of help and kind of idle. That with pooring fuel into the intake and hot wired fuel pump.

I farted in your car
