Raptor to Tacoma

Well, I am planning on buying my buddies ‘06 4wd Tacoma 4.0 four door truck late next month. I wanted a Raptor…but I am not going into debt or sell any of my property to buy that wicked ride!! I posted last month about getting the Drive a Raptor for about and hour!! A brand new 2011 that a buddy has bought. Man!!! What a rush that Raptor was!!! Big powerful motor!!

I have a buddy who is going off to Iraq in March and he will be over there for some time and then going to Europe after his tour in Iraq. It is fully loaded and has an automatic and only 36,000 miles on it. He bought it new in March ’07. It is silver and has black cloth interior (good since I don't like leather). He wants me to just pay what he owes.... right at $9,000 or a little less. He will call the credit union and see what is owed of course. The Tacoma has a 3 inch lift and 33x12.5 KO tires and aftermarket alloy wheels (can't remember what type now). It has a roof rack and a front receiver. I want to give him more but he said he is my friend and to just do this for him. He worries he might not get home this time. We are taking in his cat with us as well and he said he loves her to death and that the Tacoma paid off and his little girl cat in a good home is what he really wants in life. His wife passed last year from complications with surgery and he has no one left in his family.
I am still keeping my 99 Ranger and my 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but my niece will most likely get the Jeep when she is ready for college this graduation year from High School. She really wants my Ranger, but I think the Jeep will be better for her since it is not lifted much as the Ranger is and she will have 4 doors and a hatch back to go places and I feel that will be safer for her. We also have the wife’s 03 Corolla and my 2010 Nissan Rogue so the pot is very full and about to boil over.

Now that the wife drove the 06 Tacoma she already hates the Ranger!!! Darn...will I sell the Ranger or not?? Wait for the conclusion on the Soap Opera Show.... 'WTF is wrong with you?' ....lol

Wrong wheel size thay are 17's not 15's. The wife just corrected me...she looked real hard at the wheels and tires....lol...I think she is going to be driving the Tacoma around a lot!!!

ever since i first saw those on a 4x4 forklift i made up my mind thats what i'm gonna do on all 4's of chknfkr just to keep johny law happy. ranger44 tried to talk me out of it, something along the lines of, "why would you want to make a ranger look like a plymouth prowler?"

Too much, way too much. I had 12 motorcycles all at the same time that were running (MX, Enduros and vintage road racers) and I had 6 rolling chasis that were in mint shape (that's 18 bikes at one time). My wife put up with it somehow and I started to sell off the bikes to buy my property and never regretted sellin off the bikes since they brought good prices when I sold them. Now, I have the Rogue and the Corrola and the Ranger in the garage and the Jeep stays out side under the car porch. When we get the Tacoma it will stay in the garage and the Rogue can go under the car porch. My neice will get the Jeep soon so that will be out of the way....unless she moves in with us to save dorm room money.....lol
