she has come a long way since i got her and i havent spent much money on the mods since im A: broke and B: custom fab it from what i can get even if its not made for or from a range i.e. the rollbar that was from an F-150 and my next project im working on.........

here is the begining to my newest project a brush guard that i found at my grandfathers place just sitting in the weeds i have no clue what its made for but so far i have the center mounted and it dont look half bad next is to finish up the mount on the frame and weld in a crossmember on the front and under the radiator to mount a skid plate to then bend the headlight bars back cause they are straight atm as i do more to it i will add pics to here so without further to do i give u the begining of it

what you guys think? :icon_welder::D:icon_welder:

nice! ditto on bedframes, they are ubandant too! haha.

likin all that!

How much force can you push against the pushbar till it gives?

thanks r1hatman =)
havent put to much pushing force on it yet i can rock the truck back and forth without it giving though =)

ok i have a question on what route i should take with the headlight guards i can go 1 of 2 routes with it

1:i could cut about a six inch section out of either side and shorten them while leaving them straight

or

2: i could try to bend the corners in to wrap around the front to give a little more protection to the side markers

what do u guys think here are a couple pics of how they look just clamped on

i also put in a bar between the brackets i made to add a little more protection and strength to it and to be able to mount my front plate on lol

i would like the bent around look but would it be easy to cut the ends off and weld them on instead of bending it around?

like:

___
/ \

if that makes sense

edit:wow that diagram came out stupid

edit#2: if you did do the bending, it would look sweet if it contoured the body line

the only issue i have with bending them is the lack of torches to heat it cause those bad boys are pretty damn resilient to bending cold lol i do see what u meant with cutting and welding

ya i think welding it would be better but not at a 90 degree angle but at like / ...just my 0.02 cents...its all about what you like most!

for some reason that grille gaurd reminds me of the one on the military HMMWV's
