My son bought this truck in this manner. The truck has a solid clutch until it is driven 10 miles or so and then it will start to slip and loose it altogether. Let the truck sit a few hours and it will drive again just fine. Anyone have any thoughts on where to begin. It does not appear to be leaking fluid and the clutch plate looks almost new.

More than likely your clutch is glazed along with you flywheel and pressure plate. Your problem is going to get worse so I'd replace the clutch and get your flywheel surface recut.
