well the gears are installed and tested.
what a great improvement. the truck has a better take off and feels more willing to accelerate. even at 5th gear, if i give more gas it speeds up nicely, it has no weird hums, noises, vibrations or clunks, everything went out and in really easy and smooth.
i did a lil burnout try and its very easy to spin the tires now.
it will obviously change when i get the 31"s but i hope they wont bog it too much.
ok i took some pics.
gettin ready
the drive shafts are in really great condition, the oem gears too. not even a tiny bit of metal dust on the oil.
taking it apart, no turning back now.
since i was scared as hell, and helping my cousin i didnt took good pics while it was dismantled.
but i pic whored my dif cover.
is this supposed to be metal or some composite material? because mine is made of metal.
i really need to clean and paint the axle and frame
my new uphill top speed.
i couldnt test it on leveled road because of traffic, but im expecting to get around 95 as top speed. it was around 90 with the 3.73 ratio.
RPMs got a bit higher now. even it this is my top speed its fine, since im not building it to speed on it.
compared to what i had at 90MPH
just a memory now...(3.73 tag)
i hope i wont see that darn thing on the truck again
