sounds weird, but once its all mounted it looks decent.

i hope we can mountthe steering box tomorrow and bring pics of the arms and coils installed.

its getting closer and closer. finally

Dont forget to put a good coat of paint on everything.

Glad to see you're still at it however....

Am I seeing that correctly? Are you using tie rod ends at the bracket end of your lower links? and thus single shear? I don't mean to be discouraging, but I really do not think that is a good idea...

Yup, Yup, Yup, and Yup. Good luck changing his mind on it though at this point.

Have to agree....those joints were never meant to see those kinds of forces/loading.

It would suck to have a ball pop out of the rod end...

I am thinking a Heim joint would be better than a ball joint, even if they are off a big truck.

This is a long time to not see RSH on line, he hasn't been here since the 24th of last month. 3+ weeks?????????

Thats a long time for a post whore to not come round..... :D

Hope he is doing OK.

He's on Facebook. Says he doesn't have access to a computer anymore.

Sent from my HTC EVO using Tapatalk

Then we need to put the pictures on here for him, may try to do that later.

RSH asked if I could put up some pics for him so I said I would. This isnt all of them but get some of them before I have to leave for work.

Well RSH got a new clutch other one went out a week ago along with the 2.8 diesel one too. But before that it needed a new timing belt and tensioner.

Truck is back on the raod and here he is seeing what the engine has got.

Huge improvement compared to the old shocks

After that the truck snapped the timing belt, and like 2 weeks later the clutch. so that had me on the ugly side for a while.
the recent upgrade: Cragar Soft 8's

Im planning on getting 98-00 centercaps for them

Remember how i complained the stock XJ coils are too soft?
i had to go low budget again and got me a pair of 98+ coil sprung 2wd ranger coils.
its a bit stiffer, but has incredible road manners now. and still flexes good for what i need
Also the front sits a bit higher than the rear, and no more lean to the driver side
