Well the soft 8s wee sold. so ill keep my rims.

i cleaned em with acid yesterday and they seem to look better now.

also got the lights for the rollbar
6" lights

and some LED switches.

Seems like this could be done for monday (i really hope so)

Since i havent been able to work on the rollbar. I decided to focus on where ill mount the light switches.
I want to have the bumper and roll bar lights switches in the same place.
Since my bumper lights switch is here:

So i thought of this:
Drill a couple holes in here, but its not a flat surface, so they wont look good.

Then i found a piece of plastic that could work for a switch panel.

but i wasnt happy with that

Soo i came up with this:

Having crazy ideas with my key chain

Im liking this idea.

Hey you finally got them pics. So how did you do that exactly?

Was it the stock shock, a sleeve, then a threaded rod of sorts?

Well i love them! im really happy with those tires. and they arent that worn.
i will deff keep gettin them, in fact i want some 235/75 for my moms truck when the time comes.

I cut the rod out of a pair of old shocks, sleved it on the good ones and weld it.
bolts will work good too, i just had the old shocks and wanted to cut something lol

You have the same shock type?
i thought the TIB had different shocks.

Ill do a couple more tweaks on it. Hazmat Ranger suggested me to fold the top and bottom edges so they fit inside the opening, and just leave the 2 side tabs for the screws.
it would look better.

TIB has a similar stud set up on the shocks.

Soo finally!! the rollbar has shape!!
Measuring and welding the loops

first try, checking the height

First loop angled to follow the cab line, tacked in.

Still needs a lot of work. fill the gaps, grind the welds, weld the light tabs and bondo the bender scars. then sand the hell out of it and paint.

I also decided to play a bit , trying to find a good location for this thing

Looks good so far. Now you just need to put the lights on it.

Hahaha i dont knowflash, and im not even sure i would.
maybe a locker for the rear and thats it.

funds are tight, and seems like they will be for a while, so i cant SAS it.
