Ugly, GAY pinstripes for one.

The Splash option was also available in a 4wd model and a supercab model. Engine choices were limited to the 2.3 4 cylinder and the 4.0 OHV. The 4.0 was an option in the standard cab versions (unless it was 4wd) and the 4.0 was standard in all the supercab versions. You could get either automatic or manual transmission.

if you think the pinstripes on the Splash is bad, you haven't looked at the '97 STX's stripes then have you. One of the 3 color options for the stripes was purple and pink...

here is what my '97 STX stripe option was:

there was also purple and orange, purple and lime green, lime green and pink

The 2wd Splash also sat 1 inch lower than the other 2wd models.

The Splash had that color pin striping option also. I've seen one.

Also had chrome 15" wheels with 235/60-15 tires.

Yes, Terrible tire size. I could not ever find a tire brand that would not go completely bald in the center. I tried everything Firestone, Goodyear, Goodrich... and it didn't seem to matter what the tire pressure was either.

no. All splashes had the orange and pink wrap stripe that stopped at the door handle...

Mine had Blue, Green (and i think orange) stripes on a metallic red paint. Wish i had pics before i peeled them off.
