Hi everybody My Ranger is a Ford Ranger Splash 1995 V6 3.0L.
Any of you with this problem?...
- I have this: The chime or bell sound box suddenly stop working is the one that is located inside the bezel near the radio (check picture) .,as i read this box is also responsible of the wipers, have no problems with the wipers., i note that when open the driver's door with the accesories key in on position i can't hear the "annoying" sound (many of you hate) also when the short lights are on and when i turn off the Ranger if i open the door a sounds reminds me about the lights are on and this also is not working .The passenger door when open is working, make a brief chime sound . So where to find the problem? where to begin Is it possible that the electronic module is damaged or what?

This box is called the GEM (Generic Electronic Module). It provides several funcions. The warning chime for headlights, key in ignition, doors open, seatbelts, etc. is just one function. There are several fuses supplying the GEM, possibly 4. So, first, check all the fuses that serve the GEM. I don't have the exact list of fuses for your vehicle. It should be in the owners manual. Second, make sure all the electrical connecrors for the GEM are properly connected and not loose.
