I have a 96 ford ranger xl, 2wd. Since I've owned it, whenever going over any bump, large or small, there is a very annoying jingle-type noise coming from somewhere underneath the bed of my truck. It doesnt happen any other time, like from any sideways movement, or if i stand on my bumper and bounce up and down. Only while driving and going over any type of bump. If anyone has any idea what could be causing this noise, and possibly a fix for it that would be great. I've gotten underneath it multiple times to make sure there was nothing lose ratting around etc.

that or if you have strut cover thingys on there lol. they r famous for breaking and rattling you to death

What about your spare tire mount, is it loose, or is your spare rattling around? Or like me, no spare at all. LOL

I had this happen to me. One of the washers was making a dink dink dink noise whenever I went over bumps because it was loose. Check all of your bolts.

yea i made sure it wasnt the spare I tightened that up, I'll give the shock mounts a check

i had the u-bolts loose on mine that sounded like a jingle. otherwise you might have santa trapped in your diff

When I am turning to the right mine makes a groaning sound in the rear end every now and then, I thought it might be a wheel bearing, anybody got any ideas while were on the subject? Not trying to high jack your thread dude. LOL
