Hello all,
I've been a fan of TRS since Fall of 2009. A buddy purchased an '85 that always needed repairs and then moved away, only to return and buy an '83 that always needed repairs. TRS was our friend during that time trying to get his machines up and running.
Now I've gone and done it, and bought a Ranger of my own. It's a 1993 XLT 2WD with Manual Transmission. $1500 in American Midwest...it came with snow studs.
Since purchasing in December, "Truck" has been my #1 hobby.
We've:
changed oil and filter
changed transmission fluid
changed differential fluid
new air filter
flush power steering system
flush radiator
replace tensioner, idler and belts
Seafoam via vacuum line
patched small hole in exhaust
installed new cluster and speedo cable
plugged a tire
R&R bent bumper
Replaced broken plastic grill+rebuilt with chrome paint and Clearcoat
vacuumed and washed the upolstery
cleaned MAF
bled clutch
new windshield
plus a few other little details that I've been touching up.
Well, it's not without troubles. The body has a homebrew paintjob of dark primer grey. The parking brake still doesn't work...aaand the driver's seat bracket is broken so I've got a 4 by 4 block to prop up the seat.
All in all, that's my ride. Thanks for having me and being a great resource.
