ranger moments ,have you ever

Wow... some of the stuff people get into....

I have a whole list of stories RBV related... a number of which have been rather memorable... and a lot of lessons learned the hard way.

I jumped a set of railroad tracks once...completely forgetting my passenger coil bucket was rotted...drove it home, didn't feel any different, but when I got out I noticed it was leaning a bit..

It's really not that bad, but I drive my ranger around like it's a race car. Thing is, the rear two cab mounts are completely rotted out. I am pretty sure the back of the cab has moved an inch or two to left if my box is any judge. I probably have to fix that one of these days.

Those yellow signs are just a guide. Besides, 35 around a 25 mph curve isn't that bad. Now, if it was 50 around a 25 mph curve...

Oh I know, she was just a pussy, in every possible sense of the word.

I've done a couple of stupid things in my Ranger....well, maybe more than a couple.

While on vacation in Michigan, I went driving on some back roads that were really muddy. I drifted nicely around this one curve, looked back to see the tire marks in the road, looked foward and saw a HUGE deer in the middle of the road looking straight at me! I slammed on my brakes, and the deer flew back into the woods, just missing the front end of my Ranger by a few inches. I had to stop and let my heart recover!

Another time was actually a few days ago in my Bronco II. Our house sits on top of a steep hill. I had to climb it :icon_twisted:, and test out how the B2 handled it with 1.5ft. of snow on the ground. It did fine the first time. But on my second attempt, I decided to approach it at an angle. I was about half way up when the front tires lost traction, and my front end slid around which caused my rear tires to lose traction too, making my whole truck slide down the hill sideways. It slid about 5 feet to the edge of the hill and I felt the truck start to tip over. Luckly, it didn't. Maybe I'll be a little more careful next time! :D

There's many more, but they involve girls and them wanting to drive my truck! Haha
