ranger gas mileage

I get about 14 to 17 with an 85 BII but if I hyper mile it I can get up to 23.

My dad has an 87 ranger with a 2.3 & 5 speed and he gets around 32. But he drives really slow.

To bad my my odometer dosnt work, I cant track my millage I could track mine, Im pretty sure it would be on the lower side because I have to flog the shit out of it to get the damn thing to move.

Honestly I wish I woulda waited maybe another week to find a 5spd 3.0 truck. I thought I wouldnt mind like the 4 banger but I guess I shoulda test drove it some more. The few bucks a week it would cost in gas to drive a v6 truck is wayyyy worth it.

got 19 mpg on the first tank. Thats with no overdrive on the A4LD

i figure with not having overdrive and spending the majority of my drves at 55-60mph its not to bad, better then my explorer (which gets approx 14-15)

my explorer that i was dd'ing is on 32s and that to hasn't had overdrive since i bought it two years ago. So the Ex at 60mph on 32s and 3.73s is running about 3100 rpms cruise. My wifes explorer on 235's and 3.27s at 70mph cruise is at about 2200 rpms

The ranger has no tach is i do not know rpm at 55 but with no overdrive i can hear the motor ruuning quite a few rpms more then it should hurting my gas mileage.
