Its a 98 2.5 ranger.code p0171.checked psi with a tire gauge(not sure if its correct)was at idle with 32psi.

That's to low should be around 60. Change the ff

Took the ff off and cleaned it.didnt seem to be dirty.would a tire gauge read the correct pressure

For $10 you should have changed the ff. You should get a real gauge and test it properly .

Yeah...don't risk screwing yourself up trying to save the cost of a filter that needs to be changed anyway for regular maintenance. Trust me, I've made that mistake!!
