Ranger Facelift?

has anyone ever updated their grill style? (IE 95-2005 or something) I wanted to make my truck look a little newer.

Been done, lots of work. Check some of SVT's builds and Dweano. I'm pretty sure they have both done it. I thought Dweano put the wrong year down when he posted his truck for sale.

There is a writeup in one of the online TRS magazines in the tech library on how to put a new style front clip on a 93-97 Ranger without changing the core support out. turned out pretty good for the guy that did the write up.

That was josh (josh40601), he had done a 94 to 06 front clip swap. I did an 03 ranger front clip swap on my 02 sport Trac, and am collecting parts to do a 06 ranger front end on my Trac...

Cool, Ill search around for it! I never liked the older style grills, with the exception of european and first gen grills

Found it, but Im curious if I can just replace the lights, grill, the piece under the grill, and the front bumper? It looks like it would fit just fine, due with some small modifications and possible some homemade brackets

93-94 had a different grille than 95-97, but is a bolt in swap. 93-97 same hood and fenders. 98-00 use same hood and grille. 01-03 use same grille, but different styles (xlt, edge, 4x4, etc.). 04-11 same hood, grille, and header panel, with different style grilles. 98-11 same fenders. Not sure, but 98-00 hood may fit 01-03 hood...

Simple answer... You need to replace pretty much everything in front of the doors.

Ok I have a friend who wants to make the front of his 2000 ranger to look like the front of a 2011 ranger Xlt. Hood,grille, lights, bumper

For the years I specified, they are the same and can swap for any year in that bracket. Ie, 98-11 fender means the 98 fender is the same as a 2011 fender, so if you happen to find a fender in the junkyard from a 98 or 99, you can use that for the upgrade. I listed it this way cause some may already have some of the parts, and just didn't know what year fit. Sorry if I made it confusing...

Going to be a lot of work =p, but I think Im up for it, going to be a couple weeks before I can start though, got to get the tranny repaired, pass inspection, door DING DING DING fixed, and possibly lifting blocks in the back
