Hi gang!
In the process of trying to find the right spot for the cam sync I suddenly have no compression to find tdc. What did I do wrong? No sound mechanical noises that I heard. Just did the head gaskets.

Should be a hole in the top of the engine, usually near the back end. It goes in there.

pull # 1 plug out and watch the piston come up. can also put a piece of wire in there for the piston to hit.
fine tune the TDC with the timing marks on the harmonic balancer.

you will now be either correct, or 180 degrees out at the cam sync.

place cam sync unit in with the tab pointed at the bolt, rotate the housing so the window is centered around the tab.

you are now either correct, or 180 out,,, since this is a waste spark system that fires every revolution "in theory" it should run.

but nothing will run without compression, better look into that issue.
