Hi I would like to know if anyone has a preferred way of repairing rusted out front core support mounts, looks like most of the rust in on the core support? Would like any ideas on this, Thanks PKH:icon_welder:

Can you weld? If not take it somewhere. Easy thing to do with a welder.

I bought one on ebay ~$120 (free shipping lol) and am just replacing it. I had another one from a junkyard that wasn't rotted as bad, but it was going to be way more hassle than it was worth to repair all the rust damage.

Not even doable with a welder when it gets this far like my old ranger:

Honestly I'm going to just recommend a replacement. The costs arent to high if you do it yourself. Have to take quite a few things off to get there but if its anything like that it ain't weldable.

Whew...not good. I have welded them before, but they had more meat on the bones....lol

That's about what mine look like currently. Junkyard one was in a little better shape, but not by much...

Try Ebay. I have seen them before on there. Good luck, Bro.

I would never bother "repairing" a core support, just put a new one in, they are welded in, so you have to drill out all the spot welds. I prefer to weld them back in as they were from the factory, but some like to bolt them back in using the holes from the spot welds.

after getting mine welded in..painting it first made that part a whole lot easier. I also had to repair the mount on the frame, as it was rotted out too.
