I'm looking at a junker bronco (2.8) that's got a 5 speed and 4WD. I was thinking that the tranny and 4WD should swap right over to my 2.8 Ranger. Am I thinking correct?

if yours is 4x4 yes if yours is 4x2 there are engine crossmember issues. also rear driveshaft might be a different length going from an auto to 5 speed. depends on what 5 speed is in the B2 and what auto is in your truck

Mine is a 4x2 and has the C3 tranny. If there will be cross member problems, can't I just switch them around? I kind of figured that the rear driveshaft wouldn't work, but it wouldn't be hard to get one that would.
