ranger ac not work relay issue

Hey there. I have a 96 ranger and recently got a brand new ac setup. New everything. Long story short it is only wanting to work whenever I take the ac relay out and plug it it half way. Then the compressor comes right on and blows cold but as soon as you push it all the way in it stops. have also replace the relay to. Any thoughts on this. I would really like to use my new ac. Tia

Not sure what your problems is, but if you paid a mechanic to rebuild your a/c, you should take it back to him so he can make it right.

Check the wires under the relay. It sounds like you might be grounding one out as you push the relay in

What 97Ranger said. When you push the relay all the way into the socket you are disconnecting one of the wires or terminals.
