So im going to do either a 4 inch or a 5.5 inch lift on my 94 ranger. I was wondering if I do the bigger lift, am i going to need new drive shafts or have vibration issues? Also, what tire sizes work out best on 4 and 5.5 inch lifts?

If you don't already have a one piece rear driveshaft you're going to want one with a 4" lift or more. Otherwise there will be vibration issues. A 4" also clears 33s pretty well. A 5.5" could probably clear 35s although there may be a little trimming involved.

My 93 with a 3'' BL and coil spacers would clear 35's so I don't see why those lifts couldn't.

ive got 33" MTZs and 5.5" brackets with 6" skyjacker coils. It clears 33s fine on the street but had to cut the fenders for wheeling.
Id go with the 5.5 lift because you will wish you had gone bigger if you get the 4".
I replaced my rear with a 1 piece driveshaft from a 98 fx4.
