Ranger 2" ebay lift

Hey guys, I'm lookin to lift my 94 ranger 4x4 2 inches for as cheap as possible. I don't do any serious offroading or anything, just messing around in the snow and mud where some more ground clearence wouldn't hurt. I found this kit on ebay for a really good price. What do you guys think of it? I know its not the best out there but will it get the job done? Thanks
 
Just remember a lift kit doesn't give you ground clearance, it allows you to mount bigger tires, which is what gives you clearance. A lift would allow more suspension travel without the tires rubbing.
What all that means , is that with a 2" lift and running the same tires, you will have the same clearance as before the lift. The bigger the tires the more ground clearance.
 
I put a 2'' lift in my 95 ranger and with stock tires it was 2 inches higher. Then i put on bigger tires and it added more lift with the bigger tires and 2'' lift overall my truck sitS about 3.5''-4'' taller i looked before and after

I'm getting a suspension lift not a body lift so it will raise the truck higher for more ground clearence. The only thing that doesn't get more ground clearence from a susp lift is the axels. That you need bigger tires for
 
I wouldn't get that kit. The poly spacers can break down over time and mess with your alignment. Also add a leafs can cause your leafs to break. I'd get a set F-150 spacers and Belltech 6400 shackles instead. You could do that for about the same cost and you'd probably be happier in the end.

And I don't like the look of those so called " add-a-leaf "s. Look more like the factory overload leaf's to me.:icon_confused:
 
Jorley is right. Just because the truck sits higher doesn't mean you can clear obstacles 2" higher than before. Your axles are usually the first thing to drag in snow and mud or get hung up on hills and rocks, so ideally you would want to raise the axles first. A ranger with a leveling kit and 32" tires will go through more than a 2" suspension lift with stock tires. The suspension lift will have the advantage in terms of flexing, though.
 
Im glad to hear yalls thoughts on that kit because I was considering it too.
 
since you have a 4x4, you can just crank the t-bars and get a shackle lift kit for the rear for about 15 bucks. that will give you 2'', you are going to need an alignment if you buy that kit anyways...

Yup. So no torsion bar cranking here.

I would go with the F150 spacers or washers, and shackles.
 
i have a 93 i was contemplating whether or not to do the factory spacers as well. but i got talked into getting the skyjacker leveling coils. 94 stock springs should be pretty worn out by now so the new coil springs would improve your ride and wheel travel. i think its worth the extra cost
