just wandering if anybody had these on there truck and how they liked them?
I know they been around awhile but don't know how they ride.I was going to
get the bilsteins for my 99 ranger 4x4 but I can get the ranchos shipped to
the door for $167.95 and rancho has a $50 mail in rebate so they would only
cost 117.95.

RS5000s are "ok", but they're still a bit of a ripoff for what you get. I'd look for a set of KYB Gas-A-Just shocks long before anything Rancho.

However Bilstein kicks even the KYBs to the curb when it comes to performance.

The only ranchos I'd even think about buying (which I have before) is the RSX line which are gas charged. The 5000 series is overrated.

Yeah, RS 5000s are way overrated, when you first get them there allright, but when you start pounding them down backroads, goin out through the pasture, or hauling semi-heavy loads the performance just isn't there. I'm getting a set of Bilsteins for mine just as soon as i can.

I have the RS5000 shocks. they are fine for my DD. If you DD your truck i think its a good price for 4 shocks.

I've got the RS5000's and I'm happy with them for my DD and a bit of wheeling, I don't tow anything or haul anything heavy. They're way better then the stock shocks were that for sure!

I have bilsteins. I certainly liked them. I suggest you will get it too.
