I Don't know about y'all but, I think damn near everything looks sick layed on the floor. However, Squarebody rangers look like crap to me when they sit at ride height because the sit so far off the ground just to clear the tires. I saw a ranger on google a couple years ago with raised wheel arches, 18's and it was laying frame. It looked sick because it was still low at ride height. I had an s10 Blazer and That's the only advantage over the ranger That Pos had is the Wheel wells. Has any body seen or done this??

Ive never seen it but then again im not a lowered truck kind of guy. I actually think the boxier body style trucks look cool as hell though lowered.

I am going to respectfully disagree with you Salinas.

Muscle cars, sports cars, VWs, those all look pretty nice slammed with some big rims.

Pickups are supposed to be work horses, I think most look retarded when you lower them. Especially a Silverado 3500 Dually.

It's like breeding a horse so it has skinny little legs and a Clydesdale body.

But that is just my general opinion. I have seen a few lowered trucks that did look nice.

I agree, trucks are supposed to be workhorses. but there's nothing wrong with a comfy, easily accessible, decent handling, good looking work horse, huh?
I think the squarebody rangers look sick lowered it's just that they look retarded to me when they have to be 30 inches in the air just to clear a set of 17's. I think if the wheel arches were raised about 6 inches front and rear they could look cooler when cruising at ride height.

Like this. this looks retarded to me. no offense to the owner.

I think that would look better if it was standard cab and lose the rake.

I know it's an exaggeration, but why do they have to be 30" in the air to clear 17s? You can clear 17s at stock height or lowered on a square body, it's all about selecting the right wheel and tire combo. I'm not a fan of extended cab square bodies, but the one you posted would look perfect lowered about 3/4 with larger meats in back. That said IMO extended cabs look better leveled, and regular cabs look better raked. What looks bad on that one is the intake set-up (needs a supercharger with that bird catcher), and whatever that crap in the bed is (looks like a bad attempt at swapped in IRS).

I mean when they are lifted up from being layed out. like the black one in the picture. I just think it'd be better if the arches were raised like 6 inches so lowered trucks can ride low. That' what all the work was for so why not?

The one on the picture is bagged and bodydropped. it looks cool layed but it looks like poop raised up like it is. that's just my honest opinion. if the arches were raised like the one I saw when I was around 13 it could ride lower and look better.

Those remind me of a Hot Wheel that has been stepped on...

I don't mind a truck lowered a little bit but IMO you can go too far.

I don't know about the 2wd trucks but the 4wd guys have a time clearing big tires in the first generations compared to the second and later trucks. I have 4" of lift and if I don't watch it I can rub my 31's on a fender driving around town (only on a bounce when turning) You can only suck the front wheels in so far before you start running into clearance problems. It isn't so much the height as it is the length and angle of the front and rear of the wheel well that is the getcha.

I think the black truck has had some work done, the rear wheel well looks longer than normal (adding to the weirdness of it IMO)

I'm all for dragging frame in a straight line like those two. if you could raise it up 5 inches off the ground and turn it like you can an S10, It'd be perfect. I just think the wheel arches are too low on the squarebody rangers I'm a fan of lowered as well as lowered trucks but I an a Die Hard Ford fan. I don't want to have a lowered S10 and a lifted Ranger. I'd rather have a few more hours into making a Ranger sick then be forced to drive another chevy.

Like this. Forget that this Bronco 2 is lifted and looks awesome.
